Message From the Owner
My name is Ta’Veyjha Satterwhite, and I am the owner and Director of Marketing for my
Independent Living Program Elevate and Empower here in Houston, Texas.

I want to express my genuine appreciation for you, considering Elevate and Empower as your
temporary home or as a tool to help you get back on your feet and in a better situation. My promise
to you is never to pass judgment and be understanding of your current or previous situation.

Society can make it hard for people to be vulnerable and comfortable asking for help; that’s where I
come in. I want to make an impact on your life! I want you to be able to step back into independence
with all the right tools and access needed to succeed not only today but tomorrow and all the
days after that.
Showing up for yourself is easy, but showing up for someone else requires determination. I am so excited to get to know you and learn more about you.
